
Jodi Lorraine Jones, 42, of Lebanon, IL, joined the heavenly chorus on November 19, 2025.
Not only was Jodi a lover of music, she also loved teaching music to others. After graduating from Salida High School, Jodi continued her education at CSU in Fort Collins, CO, where she obtained her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Education. From there, Jodi began her long career of directing bands and choirs at schools and churches, such as teaching music and choir at Coal Ridge High School in New Castle, CO, Highland High School in Ault, CO, Elysian Elementary School in Billings, MT, Huntley Project School District in Worden, MT, O’Fallon Township High School in O’Fallon, IL, Douglas Elementary School in Belleville, IL. Jodi also directed the choirs for multiple churches over the years, such as Billings Grace United Methodist Church in Billings, MT, St. John United Church in Mascoutah, IL, and O’Fallon First Methodist Church in O’Fallon, IL. Jodi also traveled with college choirs to South Korea twice, and to Italy. And she rescued and fostered countless animals.
Left to cherish Jodi’s memory are her beloved husband, Tom Pluemer; their daughter, Aria Rose; her parents, Ron and Jo Jones of Casa Grande, AZ; parents-in-law, Tim and Maria Pluemer of Woodland Park, CO; three brothers, Joshua (Jennifer) Jones of Duluth, MN, Doug (Jennifer) Jones of Pueblo West, CO, Kenny (Audra) Wilkinson of Meridian, ID; sister, Jennifer (John) Covey of Eden, TX; sister-in-law, Jamie Pluemer of Colorado Springs, CO; nieces and nephews, Kobi, Danika, Kasie, Hayden, Lyla, Jordan, Andrew, Caleb, Landon, Olivia, Payton, Josie, Mariah, Colton; longtime friend, Tambyr Reed of Denver, CO; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and her fur babies, Annie, Smokey, Dexter, Mumford, Bella, and Mamacita.

The family would like to make a special acknowledgement of thanks to the following for their help and support: Dr. Floyd, Dr. Witt, and all other staff at the Cancer Care Specialists of IL, the staff at HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, the staff of HSHS Hospice, Dr. Greenburg at St. Louis University Hospital, and Dr. Travers at Neurosurgery of St. Louis.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., at O’Fallon First United Methodist Church; 504 E. Hwy 50, O’Fallon, IL 62269.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at O’Fallon First United Methodist Church; 504 E. Hwy 50, O’Fallon, IL 62269, with Rev. Don Long and Rev. Becky Leubke officiating.
