Wilma Frost

Wilma Jean Frost, 93, of Granite City and formerly of Mt. Olive, Illinois passed away at 1:14 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Longevity Memory Care of Granite City.

Born August 5, 1932, in Alto Pass, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Lolo and Esther (Emery) Minton.

She married the love of her life, Gerald Frost on August 17, 1954, in Alto Pass and he passed away in 2009.

Wilma was a longtime faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Litchfield, Illinois. She enjoyed working with ceramics, cooking and traveling with her husband. She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Timothy Frost of Granite City and Jeff and Tracy Frost of Granite City; three grandchildren and a spouse, Amber and Brian Ortiz of Manhattan, Kansas, Timothy Frost Jr. of Granite City and Amanda Frost of Mississippi; two great grandchildren, Christopher and August; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Larry McGill of Vienna, Illinois; nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband of 54 years and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Everett Minton and Lowell and Faye Minton and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Lewis Minton.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be held at the Alto Pass Cemetery in Alto Pass, Illinois from 11:00 a.m. until time of a graveside service at 12:00 noon. Reverend David McGill will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
