COLLINSVILLE – Two local men accused of driving under the influence in Collinsville face felonies in their latest DUI cases.
Jacob J. Rieken, 31, of East St. Louis, was charged on Dec. 11, 2025 with a Class 2 felony count of aggravated driving while under the influence.
Rieken allegedly drove a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol on Vandalia Street in Collinsville on Nov. 7, 2025.
Charging documents note this was Rieken’s third DUI violation, having previously been charged with the same offense in 2016 and 2023, each time in Madison County.
A Collinsville man was charged in a separate case, also filed on Dec. 11, 2025, with one count of aggravated driving while under the influence, a Class 4 felony.
21-year-old Brandon B. Saavedra Santos is accused of driving on Collinsville Road in Collinsville on Oct. 13, 2025 while under the combined influence of alcohol and other drugs or intoxicating compounds to a degree that rendered him incapable of safely driving.
At the time of this latest offense, Saavedra Santos’s driving privileges had reportedly been revoked or suspended for a previous violation of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Collinsville Police Department presented both cases against Rieken and Saavedra Santos, both of whom were granted pretrial release from custody.
All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
