Alton Man, Collinsville Woman Face Felonies In Public Battery Cases

ALTON – Two alleged incidents of battery in public places have resulted in felony charges against Madison County residents.

Tremayne L. Brown, 31, of Alton, was charged on Dec. 22, 2025 with a Class 3 felony count of aggravated battery and a Class A misdemeanor count of resisting a peace officer.

Brown allegedly caused bodily harm to an individual at the Argosy Casino in Alton by head-butting the victim in the face on Dec. 21, 2025. He is additionally accused of resisting arrest by attempting to pull away from officers and refusing to enter the back seat of a patrol vehicle.

A Collinsville woman was charged in a separate felony case of battery in a public place filed on Dec. 18, 2025.

33-year-old Lindsey R. Moore faces a Class 3 felony count of aggravated battery stemming from an alleged incident on Oct. 22, 2025.

Moore is accused of striking an individual in the face with a closed fist and biting the victim’s right hand while at the Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.

The case against Brown was presented by the Alton Police Department, while the Granite City Police Department presented the case against Moore. Both were granted pretrial release from custody.

All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
