Cass is enjoying a good year thus far, averaging 9.1 points and 2.9 rebounds-per-game, and also has 34 assists and 11 steals to his credit. He’ll be an important cog for the Warriors as they enter the second half of the season. Recently, Granite City defeated Belleville East in a key Southwestern Conference win to start January 2026.

In an interview at the Collinsville Holiday Classic, Cass remained optimistic for the rest of 2026’s play.

“We have a great team,” Cass said.

Cass said he does feel the Warriors are playing together as a team in the 2025 section of the season and sharing the ball successfully. He believes sharing the ball as a team has been an important part of the season so far, and will need to continue in the second half.

“I think we’ve been playing together,” Cass said, “we’ve been sharing the ball, playing confident. I feel like whenever we do that, nobody can really stop us from doing what we do.”

The second half will be difficult for Granite, but it’s something Cass is looking forward to. He’s very hopeful the Warriors’ success will continue with it.

“I hope we can win,” Cass said. “We’ve got some tough games, but we’re hoping to knock some people. We play at home a lot, so we’re hoping to just come out fighting and get some wins. We just have to play hard in each game.”
