Marion Massie

Marion “Patti” P. Massie (nee Ousley), 82, of O’Fallon, IL, born on October 25, 1943, in Lexington, MS, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Shiloh, IL.

After marrying her proud husband, retired Colonel Raymond P. Massie, Jr. (USAF), on July 27, 1963, Patti spent much of her life moving around from cities in the US and all over the world. She is described as a very strong woman who delivered her twins alone with only the help of her oldest son, while Raymond was stationed in Taiwan.

Since moving to O’Fallon in 1981, Patti has been very active in her church, First Baptist Church of O’Fallon, IL. Religion has always been very important to her, one of her favorite books to read being the Bible. Outside of her church work, Patti was extremely family oriented. Her family was her main priority, and she held so much pride and joy for her children and grandchildren.

Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Helen Ousley (nee Boyette); father-in-law, Raymond Massie, Sr.; mother-in-law, Theresa Massie (nee Balcer).

Left to cherish Patti’s memory are her beloved husband, retired Colonel Raymond P. Massie, Jr.; oldest son, Raymond (Janette) Massie III; twins, Steven (Dana) Massie, Kimberly Massie; sister, Mary Lou Ousley; grandchildren, Peyton Massie, Tanner Massie; two sister-in-laws, Pat (Ray) Hodges, Linda Young; nieces, Amy Schwab, Theresa Perkins, Sharon Marks; nephew, Duane Massie; many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church O’Fallon; 1111 E. Hwy 50, O’Fallon, IL 62269.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church O’Fallon; 1111 E. Hwy 50, O’Fallon, IL 62269.

Burial will immediately follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Schildknecht Funeral Home.
