Michael J. Meehan, 72, of Belleville, IL, born February 22, 1954, in Riverside, CA, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Mr. Meehan retired from the automotive sales industry with his employment at Jack Schmitt Ford in Collinsville and the Auffenberg Automotive Group of Southern Illinois. Later in life he worked for The Grand Marias Golf Club in East St Louis, IL, where he enjoyed helping with the Senior Scrambles.
Mike spent his free time volunteering for local organizations, including the Belleville Little Devils organization, as well as Althoff Catholic High School, spending several years helping at the weekly Bingo fundraisers.
Mike also enjoyed his Althoff Alumni breakfast club and was a proud member of the Moose Lodge #1221 in Swansea, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father, John C. Meehan; his sister, Barbara J., nee Meehan, Mueller and brother-in-law, Barry Lee Mueller of Columbia; a nephew, Fred Mueller; and a niece, Widget Mueller.
Mike is survived by his mother, Roberta L., nee Leiner, Meehan of Waterloo, IL; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Timothy P. Meehan of Waterloo, IL, Richard E. Meehan of St. Louis, MO, and David (Karen) Meehan of Waterloo, IL; several nieces and nephews, Brian (Emily) Mueller of Ballwin, MO, Brett (Emma) Mueller of Bloomington, IL, Blake Mueller of Columbia, IL, Chloe Meehan of St. Louis, MO, and Connor Meehan of Waterloo, IL; and many dear great-nieces and great-nephews.
