Janis Emelee Corbett, nee Davies, 89, of Belleville, IL, born December 29, 1936, in Belleville, IL, died Monday, August 10, 2026, at Dammert Geriatric Center, Belleville, IL.
Janis was lifetime resident in Belleville and loved everything about living in Belleville. She was a longtime member of the Elks Club and Westhaven Pool. She enjoyed traveling and taking her annual trip to Mexico with Anabel every February. She also traveled to Europe. Janis loved cats, gardening, and spending time in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gordon W. Corbett, who died on July 27, 1997; and her parents, Arthur W. Davies and Lorene A., nee Loehrding, Davies.
She is survived by her son, Douglas Davies (Amy) Corbett; four grandchildren, Christopher Ivey Corbett, Lauryn Barnett, Myles (Rachel) Barnett, and Aubrey (Gavin) Davis; two cousins, Karen McClain and Barb (Bill) McHugh; and her dear lifelong friend, Anabel “Wootie” Selby.

Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
