ST. LOUIS COUNTY – St. Louis County Police detectives are investigating a triple shooting that left an adult man dead and two adult women injured Sunday evening in a parking lot in the 10900 block of New Halls Ferry Road in Ferguson, Mo., authorities said.
Officers from the Ferguson Police Department responded at about 6:26 p.m. April 19, 2026, to a call for service reporting a shooting in the parking lot, police said. When officers arrived, they found three victims with apparent gunshot injuries.
The man was taken to an area hospital for lifesaving treatment, but later was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. The two women were transported to an area hospital and treated for injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The deceased has been identified as Ronald Milton, 41 years of age, of the 6500 block of Sagamore Hills Court, Florissant, MO., 63033
A preliminary investigation indicates an unknown suspect in a vehicle opened fire into a crowd near a food truck in the parking lot, and the vehicle fled the scene, police said.
The Ferguson Police Department requested that the St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons assume responsibility for the investigation, according to the release.
