David L. Herrmann, 75, of Belleville, IL, born October 1, 1950, in Belleville, IL, died Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Memorial Hospital East, Shiloh, IL.
David was retired from the United States Post Office after 29 years of service. He was a United States Navy veteran. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball and St. Louis Blues fan. David knew Cardinal baseball stats forward and backwards. He was very religious and read the Bible many times.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Mary Jo, nee Beckerle, Herrmann; and two brothers, Paul Herrmann and Daniel Herrmann.
Surviving are two sisters, JoAnn Johnson and Marlene Prescot; a brother, Louis Herrmann; two nieces, Barb and Kathi; a nephew, Steve; and many cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home and Silver Creek Assisted Living for the past six years of loving care.
