Marty Lee Lewis, 64, of O’Fallon, IL, born March 23, 1962, at Scott AFB, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at his home.
In his childhood, Marty watched his naval mechanic father fix and tinker with machines and household items. As he got older, Marty began to learn the trick of the trade from working with his dad; the two even repaired and fixed up the family home. It spawned a life-long love for mechanical work; he had found his niche.
Once his daughter was old enough, Marty began to show her some tips and tricks to repairing things in the household, wanting to teach her how to be self-sufficient once he wasn’t around. Marty is described as a manly man and one who would help others in any way that he could. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Marty was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Wanda Lewis (nee Davis); and son, David Lewis
Marty is survived by his daughter, Melinda Lewis; two brothers, Mark (Tracy) Lewis, Gary (Beverly) Lewis; one grandson, Dylan FitzGerald.
