Jeffrey S. Buettner, age 66, of Caseyville, IL, born on April 24, 1960, in Belleville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Shiloh, IL.
He graduated from Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville, IL and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA. Jeffrey worked at First Bank in Creve Coeur, MO for over 20 years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Credit Review Manager. He loved cooking, drinking wine, home landscaping and watching sports. He cherished trips to various wineries in Missouri and Napa Valley. Most importantly, he enjoyed being “Papa” and spending time with his grandchildren, Bridget and Wyatt.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Buettner and his nephew, Nick Sloan.
Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Ruby Buettner; his loving wife, Laura Buettner; his children, Dalton (fiancée, Taylor) Buettner; and Taylor (Caitlin) Buettner; his grandchildren, Bridget Buettner and Wyatt Buettner; and his siblings, Ronald (Deb) Buettner, Robin (Al) Wandling, Stacy (Dan) Sloan, Kip (Chris) Buettner, and Wendy (Tony) Mathews.
A Celebration of Jeffrey’s Life will be held at a later date, per his wishes.
