The Missouri State Highway Patrol launched the search after the baby was taken from a home on Perch Drive in Ferguson around 1:20 a.m. Saturday. Authorities issued the Amber Alert early Saturday morning after what they said was an abduction following an assault on the child’s mother in Ferguson.

The highway patrol posted at about 8:45 a.m. Saturday that the baby had been found safe. Authorities later said the Amber Alert had been canceled.

Police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Armani Cincer Robinson-McKenzie. Investigators said he fled the scene with the child in a gray car.

Robinson-McKenzie is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with a nose ring. He was wearing a gray Carhartt baseball hat, a long-sleeve white shirt, blue jeans and black Balenciaga tennis shoes.

Authorities said Robinson-McKenzie remains at large as the investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Ferguson Police Department at 636-529-8220.
