EAST ST. LOUIS – East St. Louis Senior High School student Carl Hill has been selected to serve on the Illinois Education and Career Success Network Student Advisory Council for the 2026-27 school year, a role that will allow him to provide feedback on student experiences with education initiatives across Illinois.
The selection places Hill on a council whose members share input on Success Network-supported initiatives, helping leaders understand which supports are most effective as students navigate the education system.
Council members also build their knowledge of education policy, practice, and issues related to advancing educational equity across the state.
East St. Louis Senior High School announced Hill’s selection and praised the opportunity as an achievement and a leadership role for the student.
“We are incredibly proud of Carl for this outstanding achievement and leadership opportunity,” the school district said in a statement. “Congratulations, Carl — your East St. Louis family is cheering you on every step of the way!”
