Isaac Alston

Isaac Isaiah Alston, 72, of Belleville, IL, born February 7, 1954, in Hillsborough, NC, died Friday, June 5, 2026, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Isaac was formerly the lead singer and song writer for the band Liquid Pleasure. He started the band back in high school in Chapel Hill, NC. He later worked for the Housing Authority in North Carolina and at Scott Airforce Base, Mascoutah, IL. Isaac later opened a company named Cream on Top Enterprise. He was an avid and excellent cook and often enjoyed making his dear wife delicious meals.

Isaac was preceded in death by his father, Amos Alston; and his mother, Marjorie Alston Toomer, nee Hargraves.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Alston, nee Clark; two children, Desmond Alston, and Brea Alston; a stepson, Christopher Clark; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Joe (Sheila) Alston, Manley Alston, and Dorsett (Barbara) Alston; a sister, Fran Keene, nee Alston; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Funeral services were held at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Services and burial will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026, at K.N. Jones Memorial Care, Chapel Hill, NC.

Burial will be held at Westwood Cemetery, Carrboro, NC.
