Kerry D. Ervay, 78, of Pontoon Beach, IL, passed away unexpectedly at 8:05 a.m. Sun. June 7, 2026 at his home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1947 in Granite City, IL to the late Richard H. and Evelyn Jo (Yelton) Ervay.
On Dec. 31, 1981, he and the former Patricia L. “Pat” Rushing were married in Granite City. She survives.
Kerry was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, serving from 1966 to 1968. Upon his return from service, he became an electrician and worked for 20 years with the IBEW and 20 years for Granite City Steel. He was a member of the Shriners Ainad Temple in East St. Louis and a Mason with Masonic Lodge #877 in Granite City.
In addition to his wife of almost 45 years, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Cale) Clements of Granite City, 2 sons, Mark (Missy) Kress of Edwardsville, IL and Brad Ervay of Granite City and 3 grandchildren, Toby Clements, Zachary Clements and Evan Ervay.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard “Dickey” Ervay, and a sister, Connie Onesky.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of services at 6:00 p.m. Thurs. June 11, 2026 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Mark Maynard officiating. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kerry’s name to Hope Animal Rescue in Godfrey, IL.
