Kathleen Gross

Kathleen “Clyde” Marie Gross (nee Sauerhage), 67, of O’Fallon, IL, born on November 29, 1958, in St. Louis, MO., passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.

Kathleen was a warm and social person. She had worked at Frank’s Nursery, and later tended bar at Poor Old Bob’s, where she earned the nickname, “Clyde.” She cherished time spent with her friends, and enjoyed playing bingo, card games, and games on her phone. Kathleen also loved traveling to Florida with her sister, Linda, where she enjoyed the seafood and fresh sea air. Over the past two years, she faced cancer with strength and courage. Now, Kathleen rests peacefully in the arms of Jesus.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mildred Sauerhage (nee Bergheger); and her brother, Steven Sauerhage.

Left to cherish Kathleen’s memory are her beloved husband, Harold “Gene” Gross; her stepchildren, Craig (Kim) Gross, Michael Gross; her sisters, Brenda Yaeger, Karen (David) Nance, Shirley Sauerhage Markowski, Linda (Luis) Hernandez, Billie Rose Sauerhage Schack, JoAnn Sauerhage; along with many dear friends.
