Victoria Joan “Vikki” Cotter, 73, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home at 1:19 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
Born on November 20, 1952, in Granite City, Victoria was the daughter of the late Leroy and Hermella “Babe” (Palsgrove) Mangiaracino. She married Wayne “Keith” Cotter in Golden Eagle, Illinois, and together they shared many cherished years until his passing on March 27, 2019.
Vikki was a longtime, faithful member of City Temple Assembly of God, where she found great joy volunteering with the church food pantry. She worked for many years as a waitress at several local restaurants, including Ralph & Charlie’s, where her warm smile and friendly personality earned her countless friends among coworkers and loyal customers.
She had a gift for gardening and decorating, and her flower gardens were her happy place. She especially loved watching hummingbirds visit the blooms she lovingly tended.
Above all, Vikki treasured the time she spent with her family. The love she shared with her daughter, grandsons, and great-grandson brought her the greatest happiness. She will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love, and devotion as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Tara and Brian Hutson of Granite City; her grandsons and their wives, David and Kalyne Knight of Granite City and Cade and Maggie Hutson of Troy; her beloved great-grandchildren, Lane Knight, Caroline Hutson and Jameson Hutson; her brother, Larry Mangiaracino of Las Vegas; her brother-in-law, Kenneth Druhe of Glen Carbon; her sisters-in-law, Carol Mangiaracino and Donna Mangiaracino, both of Granite City; her son-in-law, Michael Knight of Granite City; her nephews, Derek and Greg Mangiaracino; her niece, Tina Mangiaracino; her special friend, Debbie Wolfe of Granite City; and many other extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Sandra Druhe, Andy Mangiaracino, and Dennis Mangiaracino; and by her nephews, Tally Ragan and Darrin Ragan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at City Temple Assembly of God, 4751 Maryville Road in Granite City, on Saturday, July 11, 2026. A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Sam Hart officiating.
