Daniel Gravitt

Daniel Joseph Charles Gravitt, 34, of Belleville and formerly of Granite City, Illinois, passed away at 2:47 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026.

He was born on March 13, 1992, in Clayton, Missouri, the beloved son of Becky L. Wycoff of Granite City and the late Danny W. Gravitt.

Daniel was a sales consultant with Copper Fire in Belleville. He also loved working as a bar manager, where he enjoyed serving others, meeting new people, and socializing. He had a lifelong passion for music, from listening to Elvis in his younger years to listening to a wide variety of genres. A gifted musician, Daniel played the guitar, bass, and drums. He was also an incredible cook who found great joy in preparing meals for others, sharing his love through food and bringing family and friends together around the table.

Known for his adventurous spirit and infectious personality, Daniel was the life of the party and had a remarkable ability to brighten any room. His quick wit, genuine sense of humor, and warm smile brought laughter and joy to everyone around him. He possessed an incredibly kind, nonjudgmental heart and was fiercely protective of those he loved. Above all else, family meant everything to Daniel. He cherished every moment spent with his sons and treasured the memories they created together.

In addition to his beloved mother, he is survived by his two sons, Roman A. Gravitt and Hendrix M. Gravitt; his soulmate and the mother of his boys, Myranda Gravitt; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jonathan and Angela Wycoff of Granite City and David and Tiffany Wycoff of Granite City; his sister and brother-in-law, Olivia and Logan Dernbach of Collinsville; his grandfather, Russell L. Wycoff of Granite City; twelve nieces and nephews, Evelyn, Ella, Ethan, Edward, Cali, Noah, Adah, Liam, Sahara, Savannah, Sawyer, and Sparrow; several aunts and uncles; many other extended family members; and countless friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Peggy Wycoff and Olive Gravitt.

In celebration of his life, a memorial visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 2:00 p.m.

Affectionately known as “Denim Dan,” the family invites everyone attending to honor his memory by wearing their favorite denim.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations may be made to the family for the benefit of his children.
