EDWARDSVILLE – The summer night is about to get a whole lot faster. The Edwardsville Municipal Band continues its summer concert season this Thursday, July 30, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cleaon Etzkorn Bandstand in City Park with FULL THROTTLE, a program built around momentum, power, and pure drive.

The spotlight shines brightly on Henry Fillmore and his traditional circus marches, along with a journey to the edge of the atmosphere with Apollo 11, a twist on the famous Galop Can-Can, the steady drive of a distance runner’s sprint, soaring brass fanfares, and the chaotic, non-stop rush of daily student life. Whether you love classic march literature, uplifting contemporary band works, or stories told through music, the evening promises a fast-paced showcase of power and movement.

Pack a lawn chair or blanket, grab a spot on the lawn, and bring the whole family for an evening of live music under the trees. Concessions for the performance will be provided by the First Presbyterian Church Evangelism and Church Promotion Committee.
