From March 2 to Oct. 17, 2025, Watson allegedly knowingly obtained approximately 146 packages by means of deception. Charging documents state the stolen packages had a value between $500 to $10,000 and were property of Amazon.com Services LLC.
The Pontoon Beach Police Department presented the case against Watson, who was ordered released from custody pending trial.
Another Granite City resident, 33-year-old Chelsea L. Budzileni, faces two Class 4 felony counts of theft in a separate case filed on Aug. 17, 2026.
Budzileni is accused of knowingly stealing assorted packages containing clothing and collectibles items which had been delivered to a Granite City address on Aug. 13, 2026. Two days later on Aug. 15, she reportedly stole assorted mail items which had been delivered to a different Granite City address.
Charging documents note Budzileni had previously been convicted in 2016 of retail theft in Montgomery County, Ill.
The latest case against Budzileni was presented by the Granite City Police Department, and she was also ordered to be released from custody pretrial.
