ST. LOUIS – A man in his 30s died after being shot numerous times on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, in the Greater Ville, where District 5 officers responded just after 1 p.m. to the area of North Sarah and Maffitt. St. Louis Metropolitan Police homicide detectives are investigating the shooting in the 2800 block of Sarah.
Officers found the man lying on the sidewalk near a convenience store. He was not conscious, was barely breathing, and had suffered numerous gunshot wounds.
Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived and transported him to a local hospital. He later died at the hospital.
Homicide detectives assumed the investigation.
