
Christopher Robin “Chris” Hood, 48, of Belleville, IL, born January 24, 1978, in Springfield, IL, died Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Christopher was employed by LKQ Corporation Auto Parts. He had many passions, including bowling, fishing, and building LEGO sets, especially Star Wars. Chris enjoyed fixing cars, gaming on his PlayStation, and watching wrestling and Cowboys football.
Chris was a wonderful friend to everyone who knew him and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His kind heart and caring personality touched the lives of many. Above all, Chris was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robin Hood.
He is survived by his beloved wife, April Hood, nee Dycus; his mother, Michelle Walker, nee Dunkus, (fiancé, George Tucker); four children, Nicklas (Dakota), Cory (Zoe), Zachary, and Bella; four grandchildren, Selena, William, Tony, and Nessa; two sisters, Stephanie (Brantley) Morgan, and Jennie (Nick) Rainey; a niece, Brook Morgan, and two nephews, Jadan Rainey and Gavin Rainey.

According to his wishes, cremation was held. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
