HIGHLAND – Mady Holcmann is a great representative for her peers.
For her accomplishments, Mady Holcmann is a Platinum Transportation Student of the Month for Highland High School.
Holcmann, a senior, has played basketball since she was in pre-k. She is a member of Highland’s basketball team and currently serves as the girls basketball representative for the Highland Athletic Council.
She is a member of the Student Council and a Student Ambassador. In these roles, Holcmann advocates for her classmates. She works hard to make sure they have what they need to be successful.
Holcmann was recently inducted into the National Honor Society. This requires high grades and many hours of community service. She gives back as a junior contractor for The Autism Helper and student helper at Alhambra Primary. She was named the 2025 English Student of Excellence.
She also has a part-time job and participates in Midpro South Basketball. Though Holcmann doesn’t have a ton of free time, she enjoys reading, baking and scrapbooking when she can.
Since she was in eighth grade, Holcmann has known what she wants to do in her career. Her loved ones and teachers can’t wait to see her succeed.
“I plan to get my degree in elementary education,” she shared. “I plan to get my gen-eds done at SWIC and then transfer to SIUE to continue my student teaching.”
Congratulations to Mady for this recognition by Highland High School and Platinum Transportation!
