Marilyn Feldpausch

Marilyn Geneva “Marjack” Feldpausch, 72, of Troy, Illinois, passed away at 8:38 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

She was born October 1, 1954, in West Plains, Missouri, a daughter of the late Henry Herschel and Geneva (Burks) Fox. She married the love of her life, Robert Anthony Feldpausch, on June 23, 1973, at the Church of Christ in Collinsville. Together, they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage, building a lifetime of love, laughter and cherished family memories.

Marilyn, affectionately known as “Marjack” to family and friends, retired from Shop ‘n Save in Collinsville after 30 years of dedicated service as a cashier and clerk. She was a talented and creative woman who enjoyed diamond painting and sewing. Throughout the years, she lovingly made countless articles of clothing for her family, including the bridesmaids’ dresses for her own wedding.

Marilyn found her greatest happiness in life’s simple pleasures, especially those shared with the people she loved. She treasured the many years of family picnics at her home and the special tradition of decorating the yard for Christmas with her family. She enjoyed the beauty of nature and peaceful walks through Troy Park. She also loved her visits to Cracker Barrel, not only for the food, but especially for the opportunity to spend time with her daughter as her server.

Marilyn had a kind and giving heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Above all, her family was the center of her world. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother who cherished every opportunity to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her warmth, generosity and unwavering love for her family will remain a beautiful part of the many memories she leaves behind.

In addition to her beloved husband, Robert, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Ann and Kevin Tayon of Troy and Alison and Fernandez Lusk of Troy; three grandchildren, Keala Fernandez II, Yavonne Tayon and Tyler Tayon; a brother, Gary Herschel Fox of Highland; a sister, Jennifer Alice Miller of Highland; nieces and nephews; other extended family members and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Shane Robert Feldpausch, and a brother, Terry Wayne Fox.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with Reverend Dan Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Friedens Cemetery in Troy. In honor of Marilyn’s vibrant spirit and colorful life, the family requests that all attending wear casual, brightly colored clothing as a joyful reflection of the beautiful life she lived.
