EDWARDSVILLE – The SIUE cross country teams return to action Friday at the Bradley “Pink” Classic in Peoria, Illinois. The meet will serve as the Cougars’ final tune-up before the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on October 30.
The races will be taking place at Newman Golf Course, a USTFCCCA certified course that has previously hosted the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. Competition begins with the men’s 8K race at 1:30 p.m., followed by the women’s 6K race at 2:15 p.m.
The last time the Cougars competed in the meet back in 2024, current senior Mia Loafman led the SIUE women’s squad, posting a personal best time of 22:34.7 in the 6K race and finishing as the team’s top performer on the course.
On the men’s side, current senior Cullen Krieg was SIUE’s highest-finishing runner remaining on the roster, completing the 8K course in 26:43.49. Krieg’s result was good for a personal best.
