Claudette “Sue” Woodward, age 75 of Collinsville, IL, born July 13, 1945 in Rolla, MO, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Sue was a 1963 Granite City High School graduate. She retired as a medical office manager having worked for urologist Dr. Enrique Perinetti for many years. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Collinsville.
Sue was quick witted with a great sense of humor. She never met a stranger and on those she met, she left an impressionable memory. She enjoyed her yard, loved her rescue dogs, Cooper and Lacie Belle, and was very proud of her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Etta (nee McCart) Rutherford; a daughter, Stacie Anne Woodward-Hamilton; and a sister, Judy Adams.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Woodward, whom she married December 28, 1963; daughter, Kimberly (Darryl) Collins of Collinsville, IL; four grandchildren: John and Millicent Collins, Makenzie and Chase Hamilton; sister, Darlene (John) Bozzardi of Camdenton, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2 – 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL, immediately followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Katie Jo Bielke and Pastor Jennifer Sowell-Glover officiating.
Memorials may be made to Partners for Pets or St. John UCC and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home at 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
