Katrina Lea Koehler, 58 of Granite City, IL passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
Katrina was born on April 6, 1961, in St. Louis, MO; the daughter of the late Eugene and Nettie (Pinnon) Koehler Sr. Katrina was a personal assistant for the State of Illinois Department of Rehabilitation and of Catholic faith. Katrina had an outgoing personality who loved to chat with anyone and was full of whit. In her free time, she enjoyed her days of gambling, playing card games and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Katrina loved all animals, especially her cats. She will be remembered for the love of life and all the special times she shared with her family and friends.
Katrina is survived by and will be missed by her sisters; Connie (Orla) Stephens of Mt. Olive, IL, Pauline (Hale) Miles of Granite City, IL, Stella (Bill) Bush of Granite City, IL, Gina Coryell and (Donald Sorlie) of Granite City, IL, Mary Lou Schuler of West Plains, MO, Nina (Elmer) Jackson of Granite City, IL; brothers, Eugene Koehler Jr. of Farmington, MO, Donald (Ann) Koehler of Georgia; special niece, Miranda (Kyle) Graham of Granite City, IL; special aunt, Pauline Kurley.
In addition to her parents, Katrina was preceded in death by her husband; Richard Grizzard; brothers, Timothy Koehler, James Koehler; niece, Billie Jean McKeal; nephew, Jimmy Koehler.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of Katrina’s life, services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Frank officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Stephens Cemetery in Greenville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the family.
