R. Hettick

R. Pauline Hettick, 87, passed away at 10:21 a.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.

Born Dec. 2, 1922 in Grant City, Mo., she was the daughter of Irvin and Bertha (Job) Jackson.

A waitress, she worked in many restaurants in the local and surrounding area. She was a member of the Wood River Women of the Moose and the South Roxana American Legion Auxiliary.

She married Farbie Hettick in March of 1980 in Las Vegas, Nev. He survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Donna Myers-Phillips and her husband Rich of Granite City, Ramona Fry of Grant City, Mo., Leta and Larry Thompson of Cumberland, Iowa; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Janet Myers of Powell, Tenn.; her stepchildren, Robin Reynolds and Cameron Hettick, both of Roxana, and Conley Hettick of Wood River; her grandchildren, Terry Stock, Lisa Luther, Lori Mudd, Ange Thompson, Jan Hood, Lance Myers, Katie and Christopher Webb, Jessica, Jerrod and Cole Hettick, and Jennie Elliott; and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bill Myers; a stepdaughter, Tonda Hettick; two grandsons, Jon Jones and Jeff Luther.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where Lori Mudd will officiate services at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30.

Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.

Memorials may be made to the Hettick family.
