Bonnie Faye Davis, 81, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 7:46 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born November 16, 1942, in Granite City, a daughter of the late Alfred and Vida (Shaeffer) Murphy.
She married Gerald Davis on December 19, 1959, at the Dewey Avenue Pentecostal Church in Granite City and he passed away on December 25, 2011.
She was a lifetime member of the Briarcliff Pentecostal church. Family was everything to her and she cherished special times with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lisa and Rocky Cockrum of Granite City, Melinda and Frank Ross of Granite City and Tracey Dooley of Granite City; five grandchildren, Andria and James Hileman, Gerald Cockrum, LilyRose Cockrum, Andrew Ross and Aundrea Ross; two great grandchildren, Zachery Hileman and Sophia Hileman; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Davis; a granddaughter, Sophie Cockrum; a sister, Vicky Ottinger and four brothers, Don Murphy, Kenneth Murphy, Norman Murphy and Ed Murphy.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 11 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Starla Lindsay officiating.
Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery on Nameoki Road in Granite City.
