Richard William Plummer, 35, of Belleville, IL, born on November 11, 1990, in Belleville, IL, passed away on February 10, 2026 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO surrounded by his loving family.
Richard enjoyed spending his free time with his family and friends. He enjoyed outings to the St. Louis Zoo and grilling for his loved ones, and blacksmithing. When inside, Richard loved to play the card game, “Yu-Gi-Oh”.
Richard was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard Plummer and Wanda Tindall; step-grandfather, Ray Tindall; aunt, Terri Lynn Plummer; and maternal grandparents, Bill and Barbara Atkins.
Surviving Richard are his beloved wife, Alyssa Plummer (nee Pollak); parents, Rich and Donna Plummer (nee Atkins); uncle and aunt, Steve and Kristy Atkins (nee Distler); aunt, Cindy Krohn; great aunt, Barb Johnson; oldest friend, Jonathan Mell; close family friends, Ralph and Karen Sturdevant, Denny and Ellen Mell; many cousins and other close friends; and beloved furbabies, Autumn, Olivia, Darby, and Pippin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Schildknecht Funeral Home; 301 S. Lincoln Ave., O’Fallon, IL 62269.
Celebration of life will follow immediately at 3:00 p.m.
