David Levy

David Michael Levy, 73, of Pontoon Beach, IL, passed away at 5:43 p.m. Tues. July 28, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born July 8, 1953 in Granite City, IL to the late John G. and Norma (Bauman) Levy.

On Feb. 24, 1973, he and Karen Ann Kelly were married in Granite City. She survives.

David worked for Auto Tire as a store manager, retiring after more than 30 years of service. He also served as a volunteer with the Long Lake Fire Department as well as having served with the Venice Fire Department previously. He also served as Pontoon Beach Village Trustee, a Fire District Trustee as well as serving on the Venice School Board. David coached youth sports when his children were younger.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Danielle (Nate) Jaskot of Collinsville, IL; 2 sons: Mike (Beth) Levy of Edwardsville, IL and Eric Levy of Pontoon Beach; 5 grandchildren: Madi Levy, Morgan Levy, Kenzie Levy, Jack Jaskot and Noah Kidwell; 8 siblings: Linda Alexander of Troy, IL, Daniel Levy of Edwardsville, Magdalene Oates of Granite City, Mary (Rick) Jones of Granite City and Eddie (Jolene) Levy of Madison, IL and sisters-in-law: Dee Levy of St. Genevieve, MO and Sally Levy of Granite City.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 siblings: John Levy, Bill Levy and Kitty Ebersoldt; and brothers-in-law: Tom Alexander and Ed Oates.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at Noon Sat. Aug. 1, 2026 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory with Fr. Muhangi  Godwin officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the St. Elizabeth School.
