Yann allegedly committed multiple acts of sexual assault against the same victim, who was under 18 years of age at the time the acts were committed. Yann is accused of assaulting the victim for more than four years from Nov. 1, 2018 to Dec. 31, 2022.

The victim reportedly told members of the Highland Police Department that Yann had repeatedly sexually assaulted the victim from ages 13 to 17, according to the state’s petition to deny Yann’s pretrial release from custody.

Following the victim’s detailed account of events, Yann was Mirandized and interviewed. Yann allegedly made a series of admissions, including that “he doesn’t remember a lot because of how drunk he was,” the petition states. He also reportedly stated that he “remembers touching [the victim] inappropriately but doesn’t remember how many times.”

Yann currently remains in custody at the Madison County Jail pending trial in the case presented by the Highland Police Department.

All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
