Motorcyclist Killed In Downtown Crash

ST. LOUIS – A 46-year-old man riding a Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle was killed shortly before 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in a crash with a Metro bus at Market and South 14th streets in the Downtown West neighborhood in St. Louis, according to a preliminary investigation.

Accident Reconstruction is investigating the fatal crash, which happened when the eastbound motorcycle violated a red electric traffic light and struck the center right side of the bus, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police said.

The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle on impact and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, St. Louis Police said.

The police added that the driver of the Metro bus was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
