EDWARDSVILLE – The Edwardsville Futures hosted its annual Mitch ’n’ Friends adapted tennis clinic Thursday night, July 30, 2026, at Liberty Middle School in Edwardsville, as part of a week of community-focused events tied to the USTA Pro Circuit men’s tournament.
Participants and volunteers gathered for an evening of tennis, with T-shirts and popsicles distributed afterward, according to information provided by USTA Missouri Valley and the Edwardsville Futures USTA Pro Circuit event.
The long-running Mitch ’n’ Friends clinic is one of several community events taking place during the Edwardsville Futures this week.
Mitch ‘n’ Friends is a free adaptive tennis clinic that allows children and young adults with physical, mental or developmental disabilities to learn and play tennis. It is hosted by the Edwardsville Futures Tournament.
Mitch ‘n’ Friends is named after the legendary Mitchell McGinnis, a former Edwardsville High School tennis manager and tennis enthusiast. McGinnis has helped spread his love of tennis to many throughout the region.
The USTA Pro Circuit men’s tournament in Edwardsville is marking its 15th edition this year.
