Humid Thursday Brings Storm Chances and Heat Index Up to 103

Thursday starts mostly cloudy and sticky, with temperatures in the mid-70s early and a thunderstorm possible this morning. It already feels warmer than the thermometer shows, so the start of the day may feel closer to the upper 80s. Streets and highways could see some ponding in spots if a heavier shower passes through.

By afternoon, clouds will break at times for some sun, and the high will reach about 91. Humidity stays locked in, pushing the feels like temperature as high as 103. South-southwest winds stay fairly light near 8 mph, with gusts around 10 mph. Rain chances sit at 55 percent through the day, so it is a good idea to keep an eye on the sky.
