ALTON — Viral social media creator Professor Sendy met an assortment of fans Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at a well-attended gathering at the Flock Food & Truck Park in Alton for a free public meet-and-greet offering photos, autographs, conversations, and opportunities to recreate his viral “Wombo” words and comedy videos.
Professor Sendy is known for original comedy, inventive “Wombo” words, and rapid-fire, one-breath spoken-word performances. His creations include Peanemis, Lowkirkentologiclowstate, and Lababyboouienly, viral “Wombo” words and comedy videos that have earned millions of views across Instagram and TikTok.
In an interview at the Alton event, Professor Sendy said his work began by “putting words together.” He said his background included rapping in the 1990s, though he does not currently rap.
“I always find a way to jam words together,” he said.
Professor Sendy said public recognition has been one of the surprises of his social media reach.
“What has surprised me the most is how many people recognize me when I am out and about,” he said. “I didn’t realize how far the reach would be.”
He said he takes submissions and adjusts them, and that he typically reads comments. He also referred to “Alteanemises” and said, “Alton is amaxxing (his own coined words).”
Fans attending the Alton event said they discovered Professor Sendy through social media and were looking forward to seeing him in person.
“I am excited to see him,” Oliver Phillips said. “I have followed him for a couple of months.”
Aiden McGiffen said he found Professor Sendy through reels.
“I came across his reels and love it so much,” he said. “He combines a couple of words and has a deeper meaning.”
Titan Webster said Sendy is a “favorite combo” and said he was excited to meet Professor Sendy after following him for eight months.
Harrison Prott, an attendee, said the gathering itself was part of the appeal.
“I am excited to see him,” Harrison said. “It is cool to see everyone together to see him.”
Mak Cleary said he likes Professor Sendy’s TikTok videos and described them as “really funny,” naming “Lowkirkentologiclowstate” among the words associated with the creator.
