ST. LOUIS – A 42-year-old man was arrested after a stabbing at the Civic Center MetroLink station in the 400 block of South 14th Street in St. Louis left a 49-year-old man hospitalized in stable condition, according to St. Louis Metropolitan Police.
On September 28, 2026, St. Louis Metropolitan Police said the man was arrested.
The police department said the motive remains unknown.
Officers arriving at the station found the 49-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital.
The man told officers the suspect approached him at the station and said something he did not understand before beginning to stab him, according to police. MetroLink security subdued the suspect until police arrived. Officers took him into custody at the scene.
A charging decision is pending review by the Circuit Attorney’s Office. The investigation is ongoing.
