The Civic Memorial Lady Eagles Wins Thriller In Troy Thursday Night

TROY – The Civic Memorial Eagles girls basketball teams battled a close game in Troy Thursday night and were able to pull out a 46-40 win. 

In the first quarter, the Lady Eagles led the Knights 13 to 5 in the second quarter the Eagles pushed the lead going into the locker room at half  24 to 14. In the third quarter, the Knights fought back and were able to get the score to 32 to 31 going into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles outscored the Knights 14 to 9. 

The Eagles were led by junior guard Olivia Durbin with 17 points followed by Avari Combs with 11 and Aubrey Wallace with 9. 

The Knights were led by Avery Bohnenstiehl with 12 points and Reagan Chigas. 

The Eagles move to 7-0 and will play Edwardsville Saturday at 11:00 at the Scott Trade Credit Union Shootout in Edwardsville.
