Robert L. Stamper, 93, of Belleville, IL, born Tuesday, August 11, 1931, in Panama, IL, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, IL.
Bob worked as a Lithographer for Continental Can Company for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City, IL, a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #1300 in Granite City, IL, a member of the United Steel Workers of America Union, and a proud United States Navy veteran. He liked to hunt and fish. He also loved family gatherings, playing cards, barbeques and trips to Gillespie Lake.
He was preceded in death by his:

- Parents: Warner A. and Ida, nee Vernon, Stamper
- Daughter: Susan (Hyland) Harris
- Brother: Lester Stamper
- Sister: Lucille Noe
Surviving are his:

- Matthew Harris
- Christopher Harris
- Numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Granite City.
Visitation: Visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Services: Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Fr. Godwin Muhangi officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
