
MARYVILLE – Maryville Christian School’s LilyAnn Smith delivered a dominant start Thursday, April 9, 2026, throwing a no-hitter as Maryville Christian rolled to an 18-0 girls softball win over Metro East Lutheran at Metro East Lutheran High School.
The shutout victory on April 9, 2026, featured Smith striking out 11 and allowing just one walk. Adele Roth caught Smith in the circle as Maryville Christian secured the no-hitter.
Andrew Ribbing, coach of the Maryville Christian School girls softball team, said, “This is a great group of girls. They have strong character and a great work ethic. They support each other and are improving each time they step onto the field.
“Lily and Adele worked well together during the game, securing the win and the no-hitter. I couldn’t be prouder of this team’s effort!”
At the plate, Jacqueline Nimmons and Roth each drove in four runs for Maryville Christian. Nimmons also had two hits. Julianne Daniels scored four runs.
The season marks the inaugural year of softball at Maryville Christian School, according to Ribbing.
