William Siner

William “Bill” Wayne Siner, age 82, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Granite Nursing and Rehab, surrounded by love and care.

Born on October 11, 1942, in Granite City, Bill was the cherished son of the late William H. and Blanche (Madosh) Siner. A proud United States Army veteran, Bill served his country with honor and carried that same sense of dedication throughout his life.

For many years, Bill worked in the sales department at Ford Hotel Supply in St. Louis, Missouri, where his professionalism and commitment earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his career, Bill had a zest for life that touched everyone around him. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed both watching and playing in his younger years. He was also a gifted artist, whose natural talent allowed him to paint, draw, and sketch with ease—turning simple moments into works of beauty.

Above all, Bill will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit. He was a devoted brother, a proud uncle and great-uncle, and a loyal friend. To his family, he was a steady source of love, laughter, and encouragement, and to all who knew him, he was a man of warmth, creativity, and heart.

Bill is survived by his loving brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Gerry Siner of Granite City; his beloved nieces and nephew, Christina (Jim) Schwartz, Christina (Brad) Karoll, and John Siner; his cherished great-nieces and great-nephews, Jeffrey, William, Jim, and Riley; as well as extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Irwin Chapel in Granite City. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Bill will be laid to rest with military honors at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Road in Granite City, Illinois, in recognition of his faithful service to his country.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to Bill’s heart. Contributions will be accepted at the chapel.
