O’FALLON – Jackson Gherardini is a well-rounded young man.
For his accomplishments, Jackson Gherardini is a College Prep Station Student of the Month for O’Fallon Township High School.
Gherardini is a multisport athlete, competing on both the varsity cross country and track teams since his freshman year. He was also recently inducted into the National Honor Society, which requires high grades and many hours of community service. It’s difficult to balance athletics and academics, but Gherardini does so gracefully.
He also decided to join the Future Business Leaders of America organization and Healthcare Occupations Student Association for future health professionals. Both clubs encourage Gherardini as he prepares for his future.
When he’s not busy with school, Gherardini works two part-time jobs during the academic year, moving into full-time work during summer breaks. He often shadows a physical therapist and a physician “to learn patient interaction skills and prepare to become the best physical therapist [he] can be.”
He loves running, cheering on the Packers and the Knicks, and spending time with his loved ones. He has received many recognitions through his track and cross country participation, as well as academic achievements, including being named to the All-Conference Academic First Team five times now.
Looking ahead, Gherardini has ambitious plans for the future, and his teachers and loved ones will be cheering him on.
“Following graduation, I will attend a four-year university where I plan to compete as a student-athlete in cross-country and track,” he shared. “My major will be kinesiology, with a concentration in pre-physical therapy, preparing me to enter a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program and achieve my goal of becoming a physical therapist.”
Congratulations to Jackson for this recognition from College Prep Station and O’Fallon Township High School!
