HIGHLAND – Annie Etter works hard to succeed.
For her dedication, Annie Etter is a Platinum Transportation Student of the Month for Highland High School.
Etter, a senior, has been a leader since early in her high school career. She has served as an Ambassador for two years, guiding underclassmen as they adjust to a high school setting. She also participates with the spirit club, the Highland Hooligans.
She serves as a member of the Business Club and previously competed on the varsity cheer team for three years. Etter was recently inducted into the National Honor Society, which requires high grades and many hours of community service. Giving back is important to her, as is maintaining her grade point average.
These commitments have brought her a lot of joy and recognition over the years. She was recently named an Illinois State Scholar, which is a major accomplishment. Last year, she was a part of the Illinois All-State Cheer Team, and she was named MVC All-Conference in cheerleading for two consecutive years.
Etter stays busy with her academics and extracurriculars, and she also works a part-time job. She spends all her free time with her friends and family, specifically shopping, going out to eat and traveling.
Etter has big plans for after graduation, and her teachers and loved ones can’t wait to cheer her on.
“I plan on going to a four-year university and studying psychology,” she shared.
