Andrew Kurz

Andrew Thomas Kurz, 33, of Belleville, IL, born June 1, 1992, in St. Louis, MO, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Belleville, IL.

We were blessed with only 33 short years with Andrew. He was a loving son, brother, father, husband, and friend to many. Andrew’s spirit was kind, soft-spoken, and exceptionally patient.

Some of Andrew’s fondest memories included summer float trips with his family, a family vacation to Jamaica, taking his children to music festivals, going on adventures with his wife and children, and relaxing at home with his family and dog. There wasn’t much more Andrew enjoyed than the balance between relaxing after a hard day’s work or enjoying a hard day’s play.

Andrew was a family man. His greatest wish was to have all his family together to enjoy peace, laughter, and happiness as often as possible. Andrew worked exceedingly hard in his life to provide for his loved ones. He served in the U.S. Army and a few years later graduated with a Plumbing Technology Certificate from Ranken. Andrew touched many lives through his outstanding work and gentle demeanor towards his customers.

When Andrew found the Lord, he wasn’t scared to share his faith boldly with his coworkers, customers, and even strangers on the street. When he saw someone worse off than him, he listened to the call to pray for them.

Andrew was greatly loved and will be missed immensely by many.

Surviving are his loving wife, Natalie Ries; his daughter, Charlotte Kurz; his son, Damien Kurz; his parents, Frank and Rosemary, nee Keene, Kurz; two brothers, Benjamin (Taylor) Kurz and Matthew Kurz; his two best friends, Andy Stephens and Melissa Stephens; and many other dear family members.
