Jack Harold Lindsey, 89, of Belleville, IL, born October 26, 1936, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at his residence.
Jack was a proud United States Air Force veteran and spent more than 33 years working as an engineer for McDonnell Douglas and Boeing, and briefly at NASA, a responsibility he carried with quiet dedication and care.
A man of steady hands and a thoughtful mind, Jack built the family home with his own two hands, and the help of his family and friends, and Howard Lippert. He approached each challenge the way he approached life, patiently, and in his own way. The house he created was one of a kind, shaped by his problem-solving spirit and determination, and it remains a lasting legacy for his family.
He was an avid reader, especially books on tape during road trips- he would often meet his family halfway between Chicago and St. Louis at the Cracker Barrel just to see each other for lunch. He was a cat lover, and a loyal fan of the St. Louis Rams, and supporter of the Chicago Bears. He believed in hard work, loyalty, and standing by his family.
For sixty-nine years, Jack shared his life with his beloved wife, Pat Ann Lindsey, née Schaefer. In every season of life, they stood side by side. Of all he built in his lifetime, the life they built together was his greatest pride.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pat; two sons, Eric Lindsey and Keith Lindsey; and four grandchildren, Zak Lindsey, Sam Lindsey, Emma Lindsey, and Taylor Lindsey Gort. They all love him dearly.

Burial with military honors will be held at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
