CHICAGO, May 1, 2026 — While two fortunate Powerball® players in Indiana and Kansas matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing to split a whopping $143 million jackpot, several Illinois Lottery players are also celebrating major wins.
In a rare outcome, four Illinois Lottery players each won prizes of $1 million or more in a single Powerball drawing — an unusually high number of big winners for the state in one night.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, April 29 drawing were 3-19-35-51-67, with Powerball 15.
One lucky Illinois player won a $2 million prize by matching five numbers and adding the game’s Power Play® feature. The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K, located at 401 W. Main St., in Danville.
“When our lottery representative told me we sold the $2 million winning Powerball ticket, I almost fainted,” said Melissa Norwood, store manager at Circle K in Danville. “This is the largest winning ticket we’ve ever sold. Everyone here is beyond excited, and we’re eager to find out who the winner is—hopefully a regular, local customer.”
Additionally, three Illinois players each won $1 million prizes by matching five numbers. All three winning tickets were purchased at gas stations.

Retailers also benefit from lottery sales, earning a commission on each ticket sold, as well as a bonus equal to one percent of the prize amount for selling a winning ticket.
The latest Powerball run is also delivering a boost to education in Illinois. From April 8 through April 29, more than 7.2 million tickets were sold, generating nearly $2.9 million for the Common School Fund, which supports K–12 education statewide.
Beyond the jackpot winners, nearly 90 players across 20 states won prizes of $2 million or $1 million in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing— with Illinois accounting for a notable share of those top-tier wins.
Winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize. The Illinois Lottery encourages all lucky winners to sign the back of their ticket and store it in a safe place until they are ready to claim their prize.
