Kathleen Vigna

Kathleen “Kathy” M. Vigna (nee Stoeckl), 72, of O’Fallon, IL, born on March 29, 1954, in Lancaster, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Kathy was the anchor that held so many of us together with her love, kindness and endless enthusiasm for life. We let go of a loving grandmother (Nana), mother, sister, aunt and friend to so many. Kathy worked as a respiratory therapist, specializing in pulmonary for 42 years, where she met Tom (Papi) and shared a bond that will last forever. She loved traveling, baking, and hosting gatherings at the pool. She loved Illini football games, spoiling her doggies and making memories with her family and grandkids. Her home was a haven for all who entered, her dinner table was endlessly expandable. Kathy’s legacy will be her family and the joy of togetherness…we are so very lucky to have had her in our lives.

Kathy was preceded by her parents, Carl and Betty Stoeckl (nee Hennesey).

Left to cherish Kathy’s memory are her beloved husband, Thomas G. Brown (Papi) of O’Fallon, IL; two children, Sean Anthony (Kari) Vigna of Webster Groves, MO, Melanie Anne Mitchell; 3 stepsons, Ryan Thomas (Robin) Brown of Gillespie, IL, Andrew Gary (Alisha) Brown of Auburn, IL, Alexander Carney Brown of Gillespie, IL; four brothers, Tim Stoeckl, Bob (Cherie) Stoeckl, Tom Stoeckl, Jim Stoeckl; eleven grandchildren, Lucas Mitchell, Ella Mitchell, August Vigna, Maevis Vigna, Brianna Heyen, Jacob Brown, Landyn Brown, Logan Brown, Nolan Brown, Benjamin Brown; Dawson Brown and several nieces and nephews.
