Sherry M. West, 71, of Collinsville, IL, passed away at 5:17 p.m. Sun. Aug. 9, 2026 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born Nov. 14, 1954 in Murphysboro, IL to the late James Roy and Jeanette (Cavaness) Wilson.
Sherry married Terry D. “Butch” West in Edwardsville, IL. He survives.
Sherry worked for Ameren Electric for almost 40 years before retiring. She loved to feed and watch birds.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 children: Amy (Charlie) Randall McCord of IN, Tara (Brian) West Tenbrink of Creve Coeur, MO and Timothy West of Collinsville; a grandson: Solomon; and 3 sisters: Rene Wilson, Kristy (Kent) Frank and Jama (Larry) Shapiro.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Vicky Corley.
The family is planning a celebration of Sherry’s life at a later date to be announced.
