Wilford “Bill” Eugene Bequette, 72, of Swansea, IL, born on February 28, 1954, in East St. Louis, IL passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Bill was an avid animal lover, leaving behind three beloved pets, and he was loved by all who knew him.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Marie Bequette (nee Lemonds); one brother, Thomas Bequette; and one nephew, Kyle Bequette.
Left to cherish Bill’s memory is his loving wife, Christine Bequette (nee Popp) of Swansea, IL; two children, Jeremy Bequette of E. Carondelet, IL, Sean Bequette of Swansea, IL; five siblings, Rose McDonough of Kansas City, MO, Kenneth (Renee) Bequette of Cahokia Heights, IL, Ronald Bequette of Roxie, MS, Kevin Bequette of Livingston, LA, Lisa (Sonny) Lunsford of Grain Valley, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
